Department in charge of training: FUNDAMENTALS OF ELECTRICAL AND POWER ENGINEERING

Period of training: FOUR YEARS

Professional qualification: ENGINEER IN TECHNICAL SAFETY

TECHNICAL SAFETY is a broad-based degree course from professional area 5.13 "General Engineering". It gives to graduates the opportunity to work in all spheres of economic activity at home and abroad, namely:

  • Occupational safety experts in companies;
  • Consulting and expert activities in Occupational Health and Safety Services;
  • In the system of fire and emergency safety and protection of the population from disasters and accidents;
  • Teachers in vocational centres, secondary schools and universities;
  • Expert activities to court, prosecution and police authorities;
  • Engineers in the field of investment design - part "Occupational safety".

WHY STUDYING OF “TECHNICAL SAFETY” IS SO RELEVANT?

There is severe lack of such experts in the last decade, not only in the Republic of Bulgaria, but also on a global scale. The dynamic development of engineering activities, technologies and globalization require harmonization and continuous updating of local regulations and their corresponding activities in the European Union, ensuring a healthy working environment and working conditions that lead to the minimization of occupational risks, injuries and accidents. All this makes the existing practice for the training of Technical Safety specialists ineffective in short-term qualification courses. The training of occupational safety professionals is challenging and in line with the needs of industry and society.

I CHOOSE THIS DEGREE COURSE BECAUSE TWO IS MORE THAN ONE!

FIRST- Engineer with a wide profile of competencies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and company management.

SECOND- Engineer - expert in Technical Safety with a qualification that allows him to be realized in all spheres of industry, occupational health and safety services, measurement and control authorities, expert in manufacturing companies, as well as experts for the needs of the investigation and prosecution.
